GOV in Saint Helier is seeking a Warehouse/Customer Service Assistant to acknowledge customers, assess their needs, and deliver quick, efficient service on a busy timber and building materials site.

You will maintain high standards across yard, counter and shop floor, operate machinery safely, assist with loading and unloading, and support sales growth. Training is provided.

• Support initiatives to increase sales, margin and service; training provided
• Develop knowledge of core and specialist product lines
• Load and unload vehicles manually and with forklift (training provided)

Acknowledge every customer, ascertain their needs and wow them with quick and efficient service
Ask open questions to build strong relationships and understand our customers current and future requirements so we can support all their needs within Timber and Heavy Building Materials
Maintain excellent standards across the yard, counter and shop floor
Operate machinery safely and carry out key operational activities such as offloading, picking, packing, restocking and loading vehicles
Support business initiatives to increase sales, margin & service as required *Training Provided
Continually develop your knowledge of core and specialist product lines to meet customer needs
Loading and unloading vehicles both manually and with a forklift (training will be provided)
