Job summary

The Timber Group is hiring a Yard Assistant in Poole. You’ll join a team focused on delivering excellent customer service, handling deliveries, and maintaining an organized yard. Report to the Yard Supervisor and Branch Management.

Key duties include checking deliveries, serving customers quickly, and using a forklift for loading. A forklift licence would be advantageous, with training and development opportunities available.

Responsibilities

• Receive and check deliveries, highlight anomalies and store securely.
• Serve customers promptly and efficiently.
• Keep the yard tidy and stock identifiable; flag low stock to management.
• Use forklift to assist with picking and loading company vehicles.
• Act as security-conscious to safeguard goods and property.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient branch operations.
