Job summary

Travis Perkins Trading Company Limited is seeking a Yard Assistant to work in our outdoor yard, handling customer orders and loading/unloading vehicles. You will unload building products from deliveries and accurately book them in the branch warehouse, while keeping a clean, safe yard.

We value a helpful, friendly approach with customers and colleagues. Forklift experience is ideal, but full training is provided, and you’ll thrive in a dynamic, daytime-only environment.

Qualifications

• Must be helpful and friendly with customers at all times.
• Based outdoors, handling orders and loading/unloading vehicles.
• Experience with forklift is ideal; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders and provide high standards of service.
• Load and unload customer and company vehicles.
• Unload building products from supplier deliveries and book them in the yard.
• Maintain a tidy, safe outdoor working area in line with safety rules.
• Be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
