Job summary

Unico Recruitment London is seeking a reliable Yard Operative to join a busy builders' merchant yard. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and being part of a friendly, hardworking team. Monday to Friday and Saturdays on a rota basis.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, serving customers in the yard, picking orders, keeping the yard tidy and safe, and operating a forklift where qualified. A strong work ethic and punctuality are essential.

Qualifications

• A valid forklift licence or prior forklift experience.
• Ability to work in a busy, physical environment.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Serve trade and retail customers in the yard.
• Pick and prepare customer orders.
• Keep the yard clean, organised and safe.
• Operate a forklift if qualified/experienced.
