Job summary

LKQ SYNETIQ Ltd in Winsford, UK, is seeking a Yard Operative to image and grade vehicles and prepare for inventory, keeping vehicle flow moving safely.

You will perform yard duties, imaging and grading, inventory/destockering, and GDPR-compliant handling of personal belongings, with training provided and a focus on safety.

Responsibilities

• Yard duties: clean vehicles, remove rubbish, ensure high quality images.
• Imaging and grading: inventory parts, image/grade per guidelines, use PDA.
• Vehicle movement: ensure vehicles are brought to image/inventory areas by FLT.
• Video recording: engine start/run/exhaust to show infringements.
• Destickering and GDPR: remove stickers, comply with GDPR and SLAs.
• Inventory support: process stock inventory and maintain safety standards.

Job description

The Yard Operative role is mainly to image and grade vehicles accordingly and preparing for inventory. Keeping vehicle flow moving efficiently and safely.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Yard Duties

• Clean vehicles and remove any rubbish as necessary to ensure high quality images
• Ensuring quality control every step of the way with no damage to vehicles or parts
• Maintain and take ownership of general housekeeping within your selected functional and customer facing area and manage to a high standard to create a safe and streamline environment
• Ensure all personal effects and documents are disposed of correctly following GDPR rules
• Complete any training requirements for the role

Imaging & Grading Duties

• Responsible for parts inventory of breakers, imaging and grading of panels and parts for our sales channels
• Ensure vehicles are brought by an FLT to designated Inventory / Image areas
• Inventory parts on vehicle and image using the PDA inventory matrix
• Grade parts and image using Company guidelines
• Ensure that a video is taken of the engine of it starting, running and showing exhaust to show any infringements
• Removed parts to be cleaned, tagged, imaged and packed and be ready for sending to despatch or warehouse

Inventory & Destickering Duties

• Supporting with processing stock inventory
• Destickering (taking stickers off vehicles) in line with client agreements and compliance
• Maintaining the highest health & safety standards within work environment
• Supporting GDPR & Salvage Personal Belonging Team with GDPR compliance & contractual SLA’s.
