Job summary

Excel Resourcing is seeking a Yard Operative in Bristol to join our team on a permanent basis. This role runs Wednesday to Saturday, 06:00–15:00, with a pay rate of £13.30 per hour and on-site parking.

You will safely drive and move vehicles, position them in designated areas, carry out basic vehicle checks and support other departments. Full training is provided; a full UK driving licence is essential and you must enjoy working outdoors in all weather.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Experience in yard/logistics is desirable.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Yard Operatives to join our team in Bristol.

This is a hands-on and varied role, ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active and being part of a busy operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely drive and move vehicles around the site


• Position vehicles in designated areas


• Assist with daily vehicle movements


• Carry out basic vehicle checks


• Jump-start vehicles when required - full training provided


• Identify and report vehicle issues or defects


• Support other departments when required


• Help maintain an organised and efficient yard


• Follow site health & safety procedures


• Work efficiently and at pace

About You

• Full, clean UK Driving Licence - essential


• Confident and safe driver


• Comfortable driving different types of vehicles


• Previous yard, vehicle or logistics experience is desirable


• Reliable, punctual and hardworking


• Positive attitude and strong work ethic


• Happy working outdoors in all weather conditions


• Able to follow instructions and work at pace


• Good communication skills


• Strong team player


• Comfortable with a physically active role

Full training will be provided - previous yard experience is not essential.
