Job summary

MDE Consultants Ltd is recruiting a Car Mover / Yard Operative to help manage and move brand-new vehicles at Royal Portbury Dock, Bristol. This full-time afternoon shift runs 15:00–23:30 with weekly pay and overtime opportunities.

You will drive and park vehicles, adhere to site procedures, inspect for damage, and assist with yard organization and stock control. Training is provided and long-term opportunities exist within port logistics.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence (Category B) – clean licence preferred.
• Experience with manual and automatic vehicles is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail with a safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Drive and park brand-new vehicles within port storage areas.
• Follow safety procedures and site traffic rules.
• Inspect vehicles and report any damage or issues.
• Support yard operations including stock management and key control.

Car Mover / Yard Operative

Location: Royal Portbury Dock, Bristol

Hours: Full-time / Afternoon Shift / 15:00 - 23:30

Pay Rate: £14.85 to £37.07 per hour (Overtime and weekend rates)

Are you passionate about cars? Do you enjoy working outdoors and being part of a team? We are recruiting Car Drivers / Yard Operatives to assist in managing and moving brand-new vehicles across secure compounds at Bristol Port.

The Role:

• Drive and park brand-new right-hand drive vehicles within large port-based storage areas.
• Adhere to strict safety procedures and site traffic protocols.
• Conduct visual inspections and report any damage or issues.
• Support yard operations including stock management, car park organisation, and key control.

What We’re Looking For:

• Full UK driving licence (Category B) - clean licence preferred.
• Confidence driving both manual and automatic vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail and a safety-first approach.
• Punctual, reliable, and a team player.
• Previous experience in a similar role or logistics/port environment is advantageous but not essential — full training will be provided.
