Job summary

MDE Consultants is hiring for a Car Mover / Yard Operative at Bristol Port. The role involves driving and parking brand-new vehicles in secure port storage areas, following safety rules and traffic protocols, and performing basic visual inspections.

You will support yard operations, including stock management and key control, with full training provided. A team environment and progression opportunities are offered in a fast-paced port logistics setting.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence (Category B) - clean licence preferred.
• Confidence driving both manual and automatic vehicles.

Car Mover / Yard Operative

Location: Royal Portbury Dock, Bristol

Hours: Full-time / Afternoon Shift / 15:00 - 23:30

Pay Rate: £14.85 to £37.07 per hour (Overtime and weekend rates)

The Role:

• Drive and park brand-new right-hand drive vehicles within large port-based storage areas.
• Adhere to strict safety procedures and site traffic protocols.
• Conduct visual inspections and report any damage or issues.
• Support yard operations including stock management, car park organisation, and key control.

What We're Looking For:

• Full UK driving licence (Category B) - clean licence preferred.
• Confidence driving both manual and automatic vehicles.
• Strong attention to detail and a safety-first approach.
• Punctual, reliable, and a team player.
• Previous experience in a similar role or logistics/port environment is advantageous but not essential — full training will be provided.
