Job summary

JP Corry in Castlereagh is recruiting a Yard Operative to join our site team. The role runs 07:30–16:30 Mon-Thu, 07:30–15:30 Fri, with every other Sat morning 08:00–12:00. We offer a competitive salary, staff discounts, life assurance and 33 days of holiday.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar role and environment.
• Experience in a customer facing role and giving advice to customers.
• Experience operating a Fork Lift Truck.
• Understanding of timber and general building products.
• Methodical with the ability to prioritise workload.
• Good communication skills and a team player.
• Experience driving 3.5t vans and FLTs would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Serving customers face to face and providing high-quality service.
• Preparing orders for collection and delivery; ensuring sales documentation is complete.
• Maintaining stock levels and accurate location checks.
• Loading and unloading vehicles, including forklift-assisted handling (training provided).
• Adhering to Health and Safety regulations and keeping work area safe.
