People Solutions are recruiting for a Sawmill Operative / Yard Operative in South Cerney. This hands-on role offers ongoing work with a temp-to-perm path and pay increases after permanent status. Full training is provided, with shifts in a busy industrial environment.

Ideal candidates may have experience as Labourer or Production/Warehouse roles. The position involves operating sawmill machinery, loading materials, and maintaining a tidy yard, with weekly pay and supportive development

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing timber through the sawmill.
• Load and unload timber and materials.
• Feed timber into machinery safely and efficiently after training.
• Learn to operate a range of sawmill machinery.
• Stack and prepare finished timber for storage or dispatch.
• Check timber quality and ensure standards are met.
• Keep yard and work areas clean, tidy and organized.
• Follow all site health and safety procedures.
• Work as part of a team to meet daily production targets.
• Work in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Sawmill Operative / Yard Operative - South Cerney

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Sawmill Operative / Yard Operative - South Cerney to join our well-established client based in South Cerney.

This is a fantastic hands-on opportunity offering ongoing work, a temp-to-perm opportunity and an increased rate of pay once permanent. This role would suit candidates with previous experience as a Labourer, Production Operative, Warehouse Operative, Site Worker or Yard Operative, although full training will be provided.

£12.74 per Hour | Temp-to-Perm Opportunity | Increased Pay Once Permanent | Full Training Provided

Shifts

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 6:00pm
• Friday: 7:00am - 4:00pm

Day-to-Day Duties

• Assisting with the processing of timber through the sawmill
