Job summary

Dunbia in Dungannon is seeking a Yard Operative to carry out yard duties at our Retail site. You will help maintain a tidy yard, move crates and pallets, and load/unload lorries with the forklift.

You will store and supply production with clean bins and pallets, ensure doors stay closed when not in use, and uphold Health, Safety and Hygiene standards. Experience forklift handy; full training provided; good communication and teamwork essential.

Qualifications

• Previous forklift experience is advantageous.
• Current forklift license is desirable; training will be provided.
• Ability to work on your own initiative while being part of a team delivering high customer service.
• Good communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Empty bins and tidy security hut and car park.
• Remove crates/pallets from outside shop and bring to the yard.
• Operate a forklift to empty bins into skips, load and unload lorries.
• Store and supply production with clean bins, trays and pallets.
• Remove bins and pallets of crates and packaging/ingredients from incoming lorries.
• Maintain the yard area and ensure it is kept clean and tidy.
• Wash plastic pallets / bring to cold store when required.
• Sort out stacks of blue and white pallets and sort
• Make sure crate store is full of crates for production next day.
• Ensuring external doors are kept closed at all times when not in use.
• Maintain Health, Safety and Hygiene standards in accordance with Company rules and regulations
