Job summary

Unternehmensgruppe Theo Müller is seeking a Yard Operative to help maintain cleanliness and hygiene across our Bridgwater site, supporting food safety and site operations.

You will keep yard areas hazard-free, operate cleaning equipment, and support waste removal, with a Monday–Friday 08:00–16:00 schedule. We offer full training, 25 days holiday, and a company pension scheme, in a safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial or food production hygiene is preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physically fit for outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Keep external yard areas clean and hazard-free, including washing bays and designated zones.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively (e.g., pressure washers, hoses).
• Carry out litter picking and waste removal promptly.
• Complete daily safety walks and report any hazards or maintenance issues.
• Record cleaning activities and communicate concerns to the Shift Lead.

We are looking for a Yard Operative to join our team and help maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and hygiene across our site. This role is vital to ensuring food safety, health & safety compliance, and operational efficiency.

Location: Bridgwater - TA6 6DF

Contract Type: Full time – Permanent (39 hours per week)

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00

Salary: £12.37 per hour(Overtime rate 1.5 x base rate)
