Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals Limited is seeking a Yard Operative to ensure equipment is cleaned, prepared and ready for customers to hire. You will maintain a clean, safe yard and assist with loading/unloading while liaising with customers daily.

Ideal candidates will be physically fit, able to work in a team, organized, with good customer service and a proactive approach to health and safety. Training and development opportunities are available.

• The physical fitness required to undertake daily tasks.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• An organised approach and able to complete job duties on time.
• Good customer service skills.
• A flexible approach and willing to undertake relevant training and development.
• A commitment to and awareness of Health and Safety - knowledge of PPE requirements and COSHH is an advantage.

In the role of Yard Operative

you'll play an key role in the smooth and efficient running of the Service Centre. It will be your job to prepare the equipment to ensure that it is clean and ready for customers to hire. Your duties will include:

• Cleaning and preparing equipment
• Checking and storing off-hired equipment
• Maintaining a clean and safe yard, workshop and storage areas
• Liaising with customers on a day to day basis when loading and unloading job
