Job summary

BCA is the UK’s largest B2B used vehicle service and is recruiting for a Yard Operations Team Leader. You will supervise yard operatives, ensure vehicles are stored and parked to schedule, and manage daily yard activities outdoors in all weather. This permanent, full-time role offers training and opportunities across our sites.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Team Leader.
• Full UK Driving Licence – you need to be comfortable to drive manual and automatic cars
• You will be passionate to work within the motor industry and take pride in their work, to the highest standards of work set by customers
• You will need the ability to work independently and as a part of the team
• Excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Yard Operatives across a busy site
• Store and park all vehicles on site within the fleet yard, via agreed valet/wash services, so that vehicles enter and leave the site in accordance with the daily program
• Barcode all new vehicles on arrival and tag keys
• Log and remove any valuable items left in vehicle
• Be responsible for jump starting vehicles when needed (training provided)
• Politely refer any issues, queries, or complaints to the relevant manager.
• Undertake any other tasks in the yard department to ensure that operational requirements are met within the agreed deadlines.
