Job summary

PERI is seeking a Yard Manager to lead all operational functions at the site, driving efficiency and continuous improvement while upholding health and safety standards. The role reports to senior leadership and requires coordinating multiple priorities to ensure seamless operations with minimal disruption.

The candidate should have 5+ years in warehousing or yard environments, with 3+ years in leadership, and proven ability to manage inventory, facilities, and vendor interactions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in a warehouse, yard or distribution environment.
• 3+ years in a leadership role overseeing operations.
• Experience organizing, tracking and maintaining inventory records.
• Knowledge of health & safety requirements applicable to the sector.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Lead a dedicated yard team to deliver high service standards and customer satisfaction.
• Recruit, develop and manage staff to maintain performance.
• Plan and assign work to optimize productivity and efficiency.
• Oversee stock yard activities including shipping, receiving and refurbishment.
• Set KPIs, monitor performance, and drive improvements.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and quality assurance across processes.
• Optimize labour, equipment and yard layout for efficiency.
• Manage forklift fleet and ensure safe operation.
