Travis Perkins is hiring a Yard Assistant to support daily customer service at our branch. You’ll work outside, processing orders, loading and unloading vehicles, and ensuring stock is correctly booked into the yard warehouse.

Responsibilities include unloading supplier deliveries, maintaining safety standards, and using a forklift when trained. The role suits someone energetic, practical, and ready to thrive in a busy, customer-facing environment with supportive training and clear progression.

Qualifications

• This is a key customer facing role requiring enthusiasm and great interpersonal skills.
• Be physically able to handle heavy and bulky stock safely under health and safety guidelines.
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and be adaptable and resilient.

Responsibilities

• Based outside, process customer orders and assist with loading and unloading customer and company vehicles.
• Unload building products from supplier deliveries and accurately book them into the branch warehouse.
• Experience of using a forklift is ideal, but full training is provided.
• Maintain a tidy and safe working environment and uphold safety standards across the yard.
