Job summary

Samworth Brothers in Leicester is seeking a hands-on Warehouse/Forklift Operator to keep the intake yard safe and efficient. You will operate FLT, complete start-up checks, and ensure stock is booked accurately while coordinating with the gatehouse.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse yard operations.
• Experience with forklift trucks and dock processes is preferred.
• Awareness of health and safety in a busy yard environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the intake yard is safe and tidy, clear baskets, dolavs from the dock using MHE.
• Liaise with gatehouse to direct vehicles into bays and then responsible for vehicle safety in the yard.
• Complete start up checks on FLT and daily start up checks including docks, lights, salvo locks.
• Book incoming stock accurately on the system and load fridges/freezers with stock.
