Bennett & Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a Yard Manager in Waterlooville to oversee daily yard operations, including loading/unloading with a forklift, stock control, and ensuring tidy, safe storage of materials. The role offers a stable, full-time PAYE position and a clear path to independent yard leadership.

Salary £30,000 - £40,000 DOE, with pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and a bonus scheme. Working hours 7:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid forklift licence.
• Previous experience working in a yard, warehouse or similar environment.
• Experience in a yard management or supervisory position would be beneficial.
• Experience within scaffolding, construction supplies, builders' merchants or similar industry advantageous.
• Good understanding of stock control and general yard operations.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day running and organisation of the yard.
• Load and unload deliveries and collections using a forklift.
• Monitor and maintain stock levels across the yard.
• Ensure materials are stored safely and the yard remains tidy and organised.
• Support the preparation of scaffolding materials and other supplies for customer collections and deliveries.
• Oversee and support yard operatives when required.

Bennett & Game are representing a specialist scaffolding supplies business who are seeking a Yard Manager to join their growing team.

The successful Yard Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the yard, supporting the loading and unloading of deliveries, maintaining stock levels and ensuring the yard remains organised and operates efficiently. The role will involve regular use of a forklift and some physical activity when required.

Previous experience within scaffolding, construction supplies, builders' merchants or a similar yard-based environment would be beneficial.
