Job summary

Selwood in Nottingham is seeking a Labourer / Yardsperson to join our branch team. You will support yard operations, assist with loading and unloading pumps and equipment, check paperwork, and help ensure on-time delivery to customers. A positive attitude and reliability are essential.

You will work with Workshop staff to move items, keep the yard and workshops tidy, and comply with PPE and site rules. Forklift counterbalance experience is advantageous; a driving licence is desirable but not

Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar working environment.
Forklift counterbalance experience would be advantageous.
Driving licence desirable but not essential.
Reliability is essential for this position.

Responsibilities

Keep the yard and workshops clean and tidy at all times.
Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles, check against paperwork and report missing items or damages.
Work with Workshop Fitters and Workshop Manager, collaborate to get the job done with a positive attitude and integrity.
Assist fitting staff with tasks such as lifting and moving in depot or on-site.
Clean hire equipment before entry to workshop using pressure/steam-cleaning equipment.
Be polite and co-operative with staff and customers, promote the company on-site.
Communicate accurately with supervisor and colleagues re job specs and deliveries.
