As our Yard Foreman, you will be instrumental in the smooth operation of our Hull depot. You will lead a dedicated team, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency across all yard activities. Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading, motivating, and developing your team to achieve optimal productivity and effectiveness.
Overseeing the repair, refurbishment, and fit-out of modular buildings and cabins to stringent AQPG standards.
Managing stock availability, ensuring units are prepared promptly for hire and customer requirements are met.
Championing health and safety, conducting equipment checks, and providing essential training.
Implementing meticulous quality control, inspecting units pre-delivery and post-return, accurately reporting any issues.
Optimising material usage, including procurement and waste minimisation.
Mentoring junior staff and apprentices, fostering their skills and growth.
Maintaining an organised, clean, and safe workshop and hire yard.
We are looking for someone who brings:
Significant experience in modular building or cabin fit-out.
Proven management or supervisory experience within a similar operational environment.
Exceptional leadership and team motivation abilities, with a flair for effective delegation.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Practical expertise in plumbing, joinery, and basic electrical work.
A full, valid driving licence.
The resilience to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
