Job summary

Huws Gray York is seeking a proactive Yard/Warehouse Operative who can also cover relief van driving. The role involves assisting with deliveries, keeping the yard tidy and secure, and delivering excellent customer service on a busy site.

You don't need to be an expert—full training is provided, including HIAB certification; a Class 2 licence is required and forklift experience is a bonus. We offer training, development, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Class 2 licence is required for this role.
• Forklift licence is helpful but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work outdoors and assist customers in the yard.
• Interest in gaining HIAB certification with employer support.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers in the yard.
• Safely receive and organise deliveries, keep the yard tidy and secure.
• Support with vehicle loading/unloading for timely deliveries.
• Make occasional local deliveries to cover holidays or absences.
• Be vigilant about stock security and safety procedures.
