Travis Perkins Trading Company Limited yard team is seeking a proactive Yard Assistant to support daily operations at our branch. You will handle customer orders, load and unload vehicles, and assist with unloading building products from deliveries.

Based outside, you’ll use a forklift where trained, maintain a tidy, safe yard, and contribute to a friendly, efficient service for customers arriving on site. This role offers sociable daytime hours, a pension scheme, and staff discounts across the

Qualifications

• Safety conscious with ability to work in a yard environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
• Able to lift and move heavy/bulky stock within safety guidelines.
• Willingness to be trained in forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders, load and unload customer and company vehicles.
• Unload building products from deliveries and book them into the branch warehouse.
• Operate a forklift where trained, with full training provided.
• Maintain a tidy, safe working environment and uphold safety standards.
• Work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting with a courteous, customer-facing approach.
