Job summary

Qualifications

• Background in mechanical fitting, marine, automotive, plant or similar.
• Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, fuel, cooling or engine systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Strong practical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Engine installation, installing and fitting engines and mechanical equipment.
• Hydraulic, fuel and cooling systems, installing hydraulic, fuel, cooling and water systems.
• Mechanical assembly fitting, alignment and general mechanical build.
• Engineering drawings, reading and working from technical drawings.
• Testing and commissioning, fault-finding and system checks.
• Installing mechanical controls and associated components.
• Working to quality, production and health and safety standards.
• Working in confined spaces when required.
• Collaborating with other trades to meet production schedules.
