Job summary

Kraken Works Limited seeks a Mechanical Fitter to join our busy engineering team in Fareham. You will assist with the assembly, installation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment on maritime systems, working alongside skilled technicians to ensure reliability and safety.

Job description

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Mechanical Fitter to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills in mechanical assembly, maintenance, and repair within a busy engineering environment. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced fitters and technicians, assisting with the installation, maintenance, and servicing of maritime vessels and equipment.

  • Assist with the assembly, installation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment
  • Support fitting, dismantling, and repair activities under supervision
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to minimise downtime
  • Read and interpret basic engineering drawings and instructions
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Follow all health & safety and environmental procedures
  • Collaborate with colleagues across teams to support operational requirements
