Job summary

Perth & Kinross Council is recruiting a Deputy Childcare Supervisor for Luncarty Wraparound Care. You will assist in day-to-day operations, deputise for the Childcare Supervisor, and ensure flexible childcare before/after school and in holidays for children aged 3 to end of Primary 7.

The post requires a willingness to work towards a Practitioner qualification and to register with the SSSC within the specified timeframe. You’ll join a supportive team focused on high-quality care.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required, but you must work towards a Practitioner qualification such as SVQ3 (Social Services - Children & Young People) or HNC in Childhood Practice.
• You must be registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of starting.
• Experience in early learning or childcare with knowledge of SSSC and Care Inspectorate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day running of the Wraparound Care service and deputise in the absence of the Childcare Supervisor.
• Plan and organise day-to-day operations to provide flexible childcare before/after school and during school holidays for 3 to end of Primary 7.
• Provide high-quality care and a range of stimulating activities while maintaining a safe, inclusive environment.
