Job summary

Premier Education is hiring a Playworker for an after-school club at Fairfield Infant School in Felixstowe. 16 hours per week, term-time only, 15:15–18:00, £10.85–£12.71 per hour. You'll help lead safe, inclusive play for children aged 4–7, plan activities, collect from class, set up spaces, and support families with peace of mind.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working with children (paid or voluntary) – essential.
• An understanding of safeguarding processes.
• Bags of enthusiasm and a genuine passion for working with children.
• A team player who’s happy taking direction from the Site Lead.
• Reliable transport to get to the club on time for every session.
• Willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check, Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding and food hygiene training if you don’t already hold these.

Responsibilities

• Helping plan and deliver engaging play, from arts and crafts to active games.
• Collecting children from class and settling them into the session.
• Setting up and packing away play spaces, and serving safe, healthy refreshments.
• Building genuine relationships with children, parents and school staff.
• Keeping everyone safe by following our safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
