• Support in the day‑to‑day operations of the after‑school club under the Wraparound Care Leader.
• Collaborate with school staff and parents to deliver high‑quality wraparound care.

Job description

Wansdyke School is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Wraparound Care Assistant to support the Wraparound Care Leader in managing the day‑to‑day operations of our after‑school club provision.

Working Hours: Part time (7 hours 10 minutes per week, 3.15pm until 4.30pm Monday and Wednesday, 3.15 until 5.35pm Tuesday and Thursday, 38 weeks per year, no Teacher Training days). Contract: Fixed Term (until 31st August 2027). Required: ASAP.

The successful candidate will ensure a safe, caring and stimulating environment for all children who attend. This role involves assisting with the planning and organising of a range of activities suitable for primary‑aged children, taking into account their interests and developmental needs.

• Has strong interpersonal and communication skills and is able to work with a variety of pupils, staff and parents;
• Is self‑motivated, energetic and proactive and will support in ensuring the delivery of safe, high‑quality education and care for all of our children;
• Has experience of working with children in a play / educational setting;
• Has Food handling experience and/or a Food handling certificate (or willingness to complete one);
• Is a strong team player;
• Has a positive and flexible attitude;
• Can demonstrate a warm and caring approach with children;
• Is First Aid trained (advantageous).
