Job summary

Wansdyke School in Devizes is seeking a dedicated Wrap Around Care Assistant to support the after‑school club leader. You will help plan and run a range of activities for primary‑aged children, ensuring a safe, caring and stimulating environment after the school day.

This part‑time fixed‑term role (38 weeks per year) offers practical experience with children, opportunities for training, and a supportive team within Acorn Education Trust. Contract until 31 August 2027; ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children in play or educational settings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with pupils, staff and parents.
• Self-motivated, energetic and proactive with a warm, caring approach.
• Food handling certificate or willingness to complete one.
• First Aid training is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and organising activities for primary-aged children.
• Support the Wraparound Care Leader to run safe, high-quality sessions.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment for all attendees.
• Work with staff and parents to ensure smooth daily operations.
