Job summary

James Fisher and Sons plc in Great Yarmouth invites applications for a Workshop Assistant to support maintenance, repair and testing of containerised offshore systems. You will help with waste disposal, cleaning and yard tidying.

The role requires good physical condition, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Previous workshop experience and relevant certification are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous workshop experience preferred.
• Trade certification or apprenticeship in a related field is advantageous.
• Live within reasonable distance to Great Yarmouth to be eligible.
• Good physical condition with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow HSQE policies and procedures as written.
• Assist equipment loadouts and ensure picking lists are followed.
• Assist paint team with fabric maintenance of equipment.
• Keep workshop and yard tidy and manage waste per policy.
• Assist Workshop Manager with base layout and structure.
• Pressure-wash equipment and buildings.
• Work safely as per Health & Safety regulations.
• Maintain a professional and courteous approach to customers and colleagues.
