Job summary

Rhodium Consulting is seeking an experienced Workshop Technician for a Keynsham-based plant and equipment hire business. You will service, inspect and repair a wide range of plant, powered access equipment and mobile welfare units, ensuring equipment is safe, well presented and ready for hire.

The role requires a methodical, independent worker who can diagnose faults, follow procedures, and build strong relationships with colleagues and customers.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience within the plant and equipment hire industry.
• Strong technical knowledge and experience working with tools and plant equipment.
• Experience servicing, inspecting and repairing equipment.
• A methodical and organised approach to work.
• The ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
• A motivated, adaptable and reliable attitude.
• The ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining high standards.
• Clean full UK Driving License.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily servicing, inspections and repairs of plant, powered access equipment and mobile welfare units.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained to a high standard and is safe and ready for hire.
• Identify faults and carry out necessary repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner and in line with company procedures and industry best practice.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and equipment presentation.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and customers.

Working hours - Monday to Friday – no weekends

Salary - up to circa £35,000 basic negotiable depending on experience

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Workshop Technician to join a well-established and successful independent equipment hire business based in Keynsham.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in the plant and equipment hire industry who has strong technical knowledge and takes pride in maintaining equipment to a high standard.

Working as part of a friendly and supportive team, you will be responsible for the servicing, inspection and repair of a wide range of plant, powered access equipment and mobile welfare units.
