Job summary

Active Design is seeking a Workshop Technician to join our Aston, Birmingham factory. You will read schematics and assembly instructions, produce seating components, and use hand tools or machinery to assemble systems.

Responsibility includes conducting quality checks to ensure products meet specifications. The role runs 40 hours weekly with a Monday-Thursday schedule and Friday half-day, within our Birmingham production facility.

Active Design is leading manufacturer of wheelchair special seating products and clinical seating services. The company has been involved in the design, development and manufacturer of postural management equipment for over 30 years. Our products are manufactured at our factory in Aston, Birmingham using a wide range of production techniques.

What we are looking for:

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Workshop Technician that would work within our factory based in Birmingham assembling all seating systems depending on drawings and specifications provided.

Key Responsibilities:

• To read and decipher schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions to help build seating systems
• T produce components by assembling parts for full seating systems
• To use hand tools or machines to assemble parts
• To conduct quality control checks

We are looking for someone to work 40 hours per week Monday to Thursday between 8am to 5pm with a half hour unpaid lunch break and 2 x 15-minute breaks (paid) and Fridays 7am - 1pm.
