Job summary

Rushlift is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor in Dewsbury to lead daily workshop operations, supervise engineers and apprentices, and ensure high safety and quality standards. The role focuses on diagnosing faults, planning workloads, and delivering outstanding service while maintaining equipment uptime for customers.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths are required.
• Engineering qualifications or similar technical qualifications preferred.
• Several years' experience maintaining, servicing or repairing material handling equipment.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of the workshop and coordinate workloads.
• Supervise and develop engineers and apprentices, provide guidance.
• Plan and allocate work based on priority and resources.
• Maintain safety, quality standards and keep equipment uptime high.
• Conduct final quality checks and ensure accurate service documentation.
• Report workshop performance and issues to management.
• Work with customers, service teams and parts departments to deliver service excellence.
