Job summary

Executive Network Group is seeking a Workshop & Fleet Supervisor in North Yorkshire. The role oversees day-to-day workshop management and a team of Technicians, coordinating maintenance, inspections and repairs to keep equipment safe and compliant.

You will drive efficiency and performance within a technically driven team. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on maintenance knowledge, previous supervisory experience, and thrives in a heavy equipment environment.

Qualifications

  • Good technical understanding and ability to support Technicians when required.
  • Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance, inspections and repairs.
  • Experience in workshop, fleet, plant, crane, lifting or heavy equipment environments.
  • Previous supervisory experience is advantageous or suitable for an experienced heavy plant/crane technician moving to an office-based role.

Responsibilities

  • Managing, coaching and supporting a team of Technicians.
  • Planning and prioritising technician workloads and maintenance activities.
  • Preparing maintenance schedules to ensure effective deployment of equipment and personnel.
  • Coordinating maintenance, inspections and repair activities across the fleet.
  • Ensuring all work complies with SHEQ standards, procedures, legislation and manufacturer instructions.
  • Ensuring required spare parts are purchased and available when needed.
  • Driving continuous improvement across workshop operations and team performance.

Job description

Job Title: Workshop & Fleet Supervisor

Location: North Yorkshire

Salary: £60,000 + Company Benefits Package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Supervisor / Fleet Supervisor to join a leading business within the lifting and heavy equipment industry.

This is a key position within the workshop and fleet function, responsible for the day-to-day management of the workshop, alongside overseeing a team of technicians. You will be responsible for coordinating maintenance, inspections and repairs, whilst ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with manufacturer requirements.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Experience working within a workshop, fleet, plant, crane, lifting or heavy equipment environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience would be advantageous, however this role would also suit an experienced heavy plant, or crane technician looking to step into an office based role.
