Job description

HIAB is looking for Workshop Supervisor to manage and guide the workshop installation team, collaborating with the central installation team and leadership to guarantee optimized, productive, and financially successful operations. The Workshop Supervisor will be responsible for supervising the workshop teams at our HIAB Installation facility.

The position will be based in Ellesmere, UK.

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day tasks are completed to meet customers delivery dates.
• Work in conjunction with the overall HIAB strategy and contribute to continuous improvements within this area of operation.
• Lead a complete cell from end to end, fabrication to testing.
• Maintain systems like SAP, Andon and Fiori, supporting the execution of installations in bays.
• Coordination of parts deliveries for assigned jobs.
• Workshop job coordination, parts supply and stock holding in house.
• Collaborate with technical support representatives in the market area to coordinate and channel technical support from HIAB functions.
• Cooperate closely with other business units to collaborate and share ideas.
• Manage costs, times, margins and overall profitability of Installation activity.
• Support Workshop Manager with depot P&L.
• Develop and practice a 5s safety culture.
• Prepared to travel within and outside the UK.
• Support the company’s efforts to reduce accidents/incidents by reporting unsafe actions or conditions and participating in Safety Walks, Safety Audits and 5S events etc. as required.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Formal education in Business Studies, Commercial, or Technical fields.
• Substantial experience in a commercial capacity within a related industry.
• Preferential experience and knowledge of engineering production and/or bodybuilder operations.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise a high-activity workshop environment.
• Proven competence in cost control and Profit and Loss management.
• Proficiency in developing and maintaining customer relationships.
• Strong technical skills.
• Valid driver's license.
