Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals Limited is seeking a Workshop Operative to support the depot’s smooth operation. You will prepare equipment, ensure it is clean, and ready for hire by customers, while maintaining a safe yard and handling day-to-day customer liaison and orders.

You may also assist with deliveries/collections to customer sites and operate the depot telehandler as needed. A strong emphasis on health and safety, teamwork, and reliable attendance is required.

Qualifications

• Physical fitness to undertake daily tasks.
• Ability to work as part of a team and to complete duties on time.
• Good level of Customer Service.
• Willing to undertake relevant training and development.
• Commitment to health and safety; PPE knowledge is advantageous.
• B3 Forklift Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and preparing equipment.
• Checking and storing off-hired equipment.
• Maintaining a clean and safe yard, workshop and storage areas.
• Liaising with customers regarding loading/unloading.
• Building orders for customers within deadlines.
• Occasionally delivering to and collecting from customer sites.
• Using depot telehandler.

About The Role

In the role of Workshop Operative you'll play an key role in the smooth and efficient running of the Depot. It will be your job to prepare the equipment to ensure that it is clean and ready for customers to hire.

• Cleaning and preparing equipment
• Checking and storing off-hired equipment
• Maintaining a clean and safe yard, workshop and storage areas
• Liaising with customers on a day to day basis when loading and unloading job
• Building Orders For Customers Within Agreed Deadlines
• Required from time to time to make deliveries and collections from Customer Sites
• Use of depot Telehandler
