Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is hiring a Workshop Operative to keep the depot running smoothly by preparing equipment for customer hire and maintaining a safe work environment. You will liaise with customers daily during loading and unloading, and you may be required to deliver to customer sites using a telehandler.

Qualifications

• Physical fitness required to perform daily tasks.
• Ability to work in a team and complete duties on time.
• Good level of customer service.
• Willing to undertake relevant training and development.
• Commitment to health and safety; knowledge of PPE requirements and COSHH is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare equipment for hire.
• Check and store off-hired equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe yard, workshop and storage areas.
• Liaise with customers on a day-to-day basis during loading/unloading.
• Build orders for customers within agreed deadlines.
• From time to time, deliver to and collect from customer sites.
• Use of depot telehandler when required.

In the role of Workshop Operative you'll play an key role in the smooth and efficient running of the Depot. It will be your job to prepare the equipment to ensure that it is clean and ready for customers to hire.

• Cleaning and preparing equipment
• Checking and storing off-hired equipment
• Maintaining a clean and safe yard, workshop and storage areas
• Liaising with customers on a day to day basis when loading and unloading job
• Building Orders For Customers Within Agreed Deadlines
• Required from time to time to make deliveries and collections from Customer Sites
• Use of depot Telehandler
