Ernest Gordon Recruitment is recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter (Workshop Based) in Glasgow. This permanent, days-based role offers 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an early finish every Friday. Salary between 35,000 and 40,000 with optional overtime (OTE 50k) and private medical plus 32 days holiday.

You will read drawings, assemble and test equipment for use in the water industry. Training on guillotine and press brake is provided, with occasional site visits every few months to

• Reading drawings to prepare, assemble, and test mechanical parts and equipment.
• Using hand tools in a workshop environment.
• Full training provided on guillotine and press brake.
• Occasional site visits every few months for installations.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, assembling, and testing mechanical parts and equipment.
• Reading engineering drawings and using hand tools.
• Using guillotine and press brake with full training given.
• Going to sites every few months to help with installations.
• Monday to Thursday 8am - 4pm, finish at 1pm on Friday, 35 hours a week.
