Job summary

Aspirare Recruitment seeks a Mechanical Fitter for a workshop and site-based role in Scotland. The position is full time, 40 hours per week, paying £19.05 per hour (£762 per week).

You will install, maintain and repair mechanical plant and equipment, carry out preventive maintenance, and work at customer sites and in the workshop, ensuring safety compliance and high-quality workmanship. Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or in a similar mechanical engineering role.
• Strong fault-finding and mechanical repair skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
• Full UK driving licence (essential)

Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical plant and equipment.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs.
• Install and commission new mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs.
• Work both within the workshop and at customer sites.
• Ensure all work complies with health and safety procedures.
• Complete job documentation accurately and maintain high-quality workmanship.
