This Workshop Manager role offers you full responsibility for running a busy, high-performing depot workshop. You’ll manage workloads, delegate tasks to in-house and mobile engineers, and ensure service records are kept up to date and compliant. You’ll also handle parts ordering, stock management, and use telematics to plan inspections and preventative maintenance.
You'll be joining a company with over 100 staff and more than 2,000 machines in its fleet — but still run with a family business feel. Expect to roll your sleeves up, work closely with your team, and get stuck in when needed.
Organise workshop schedules and coordinate service activities
Manage mobile fitter call-outs and breakdown response
Maintain accurate service records and use diagnostic portals/telematics
Order parts and manage stock levels effectively
Ensure all health & safety policies are followed
Liaise with clients on-site and uphold professional standards
Lead a small team, provide guidance, and ensure a high standard of repair work
Privately owned and operating nationally across multiple depots
Strong client base and high repeat business
Emphasis on reliability, trust, and customer service
