Job summary

Luton Bennett in Burnley is recruiting a Workshop Manager (CNC) to lead a 14-strong team in a CNC environment, delivering new processes and KPI monitoring.

The role offers £45,000–£50,000 (DOE) plus profit share, 25 days holiday, training and a Friday 13:30 finish, with a 40-hour week and growth into a new facility planned.

Qualifications

• Experience in a CNC machining environment.
• Familiarity with 4/5 axis machining.
• Knowledge of CAD is required.

Responsibilities

• Establish new manufacturing processes and improve workflows.
• Plan manufacturing capacity for single and bulk orders.
• Manage lead times and quality checks of parts and processes.
• Lead a workshop team of 14 (plus drawing office) and grow headcount.
• Use CAD to support designs for customer sharing.
• Ensure site H&S standards are followed.

Workshop Managerrequired for a successful manufacturing company with a 25-year trading history. Candidates will need experience working in a CNC machining environment and will need familiarity with 4/5 axis machining. This role would suit an experienced Workshop Manager, Supervisor/Team Leader or similar looking to take the next step in their career. Knowledge of CAD is also required.

TheWorkshop Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing manufacturing operations, which will involve overseeing a workshop of 14 people with headcount expected to increase.

TheWorkshop Manager will be responsible for the implementation of new manufacturing processes and improvements, including the implementation of new KPIs and monitoring systems.

TheWorkshop Manager Role:

• Establishment of new manufacturing processes
• Manufacturing / capacity planning – working with one off and bulk orders
• Management of lead times
• Quality management – quality checks of parts and processes
• Managing a team of 14 in the workshop and 2 in the drawing office
• Using CAD to support the development of designs to be shared with customers
• Ensuring H&S standards onsite
