Job summary

The Hub in Bristol is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead the fabrication team at our 32,000 sq ft production facility. You will oversee day-to-day workshop operations and support the delivery of large-scale campaigns for major events and brands.

Flexibility and hands-on leadership are essential, with occasional overtime and on-site support during busy periods. Experience with CNC workflows and safety compliance is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three to five years' experience in workshop management, fabrication, set building, exhibitions, events or technical production.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, materials and construction methods.
• Proven experience leading and developing a team.
• Experience operating workshop machinery safely.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Are you an experienced fabrication professional who enjoys leading from the front? Would you like to manage a skilled workshop team delivering creative builds for leading brands and major events? The role Magic Number is looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to lead the fabrication team at The Hub, our 32,000 sq ft production facility in Bristol. You'll oversee the day-to-day running of the workshop and support the delivery of large-scale campaigns across festivals, live events, retail environments and pop-up activations.

Initial Responsibilities

• Manage CNC workflow according to production priorities.
• Coordinate project-specific materials with the Production Manager.
• Monitor fabrication hours and productivity against budgets.
• Maintain workshop organisation, housekeeping and Health & Safety standards.
• Ensure machinery, tools and equipment are used and maintained safely.
• Support occasional installations and de-rigs.
