Magic Number is seeking a skilled Workshop Manager in Bristol to lead the fabrication team at The Hub, a 32,000 sq ft production facility. You will oversee daily workshop operations and support large-scale campaigns for brands and live events.

You will coordinate resources, review designs, and guide hands-on builds while maintaining safety, quality and timely delivery across projects.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years' experience in workshop management, fabrication, set building, exhibitions, events or technical production.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, materials and construction methods.
• Proven experience leading and developing a team.
• Experience operating workshop machinery safely.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• A practical approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop a team of fabricators.
• Plan workshop activity across multiple projects and deadlines.

• Support occasional installations and de-rigs.

Are you an experienced fabrication professional who enjoys leading from the front? Would you like to manage a skilled workshop team delivering creative builds for leading brands and major events?

The role

Magic Number is looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to lead the fabrication team at The Hub, our 32,000 sq ft production facility in Bristol.

You’ll oversee the day-to-day running of the workshop and support the delivery of large-scale campaigns across festivals, live events, retail environments and pop-up activations.

The person

• Three to five years' experience in workshop management, fabrication, set building, exhibitions, events or technical production.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, materials and construction methods.
• Proven experience leading and developing a team.
• Experience operating workshop machinery safely.
• Strong organisational and project management skills.
• A practical approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

Experience within experiential marketing, festivals, exhibitions or retail activations would be beneficial.

Flexibility is required, as occasional overtime, weekend work and on-site support may be needed during busy periods.
