Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Workshop Manager to join our client’s engineering team in Inverness. You will lead day-to-day workshop operations, manage the engineering function, and ensure buses are maintained to DVSA standards to maximise vehicle availability.

The ideal candidate will have City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in heavy vehicle maintenance, PSV/HGV experience, and supervisory skills. Salary £45,000–£50,000 plus overtime options. Monday–Friday, day shift with optional overtime.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs.
• PSV/HGV experience is necessary.
• Supervisory/Managerial experience within the PSV/HGV industry.

Responsibilities

• Cope with day-to-day pressures in a vehicle workshop.
• Daily management of the engineering function.
• Ensure the fleet of buses is maintained to DVSA standards.
• Achieve maximum vehicle availability and continually improve standards.

We are currently looking for a Workshop Manager to join our client's dedicated Engineering team in their commitment in providing a high standard of service output for their customers.

Workshop Manager Required Qualifications:

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repairs
• Car Driving licence
• Supervisory/Managerial Experience within the PSV/HGV industry (non-negotiable)
• PSV/HGV experience is necessary

Workshop Manager Main Duties:

• Cope with the day-to-day pressures that a normal vehicle workshop brings
• Daily management of the engineering function
• Ensuring the fleet of buses are maintained to DVSA standard
• Achieving maximum vehicle availability & continually improving standards
