Job summary

Turners (Soham) Ltd is recruiting an LGV Fitter based at our Castleford Workshop. Shift patterns are 06:00–14:00 and 12:00–20:00, Monday to Friday with alternating Saturdays, 40 hours per week plus overtime.

Role involves repair and maintenance of our fleet of tank, refrigerated and curtainside trailers. LGV1 licence preferred but not essential; full driving licence required. Training and PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in vehicle repairs or willingness to learn.
• Full driving licence essential; LGV licence preferred but not essential.
• Willingness to work shift pattern including Saturdays.
• Good communication skills and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of fleet of vehicles and trailers.
• Work on Tank, Refrigerated and curtainside trailers.
• Operate from Castleford workshop; training provided.

Turners (Soham) Ltd is the UK’s largest privately owned transport Company. We are looking to recruit LGV Fitters, to be based at our Castleford Workshop.• Working shift patterns 06:00 – 14:00 and 12:00 – 20:00 Monday to Friday and then every other Saturday 06:00-12:00. 40 hours per week guaranteed, overtime paid there after.• Benefits include Shift allowance and Attendance allowance.As a Turners' employee, you will be required to demonstrate skill, professionalism and excellent communication skills.As a large and ever expanding company, Turners can take on candidates with limited experience in vehicle repairs, all we ask is you are willing and keen to learn.Responsibilities will include the repair and maintenance our fleet of vehicles and trailers. You would be working on a variety of trailer and vehicle types to include, Tank, Refrigerated and curtainside.Previous mechanical experience would be preferred and an LGV 1 licence is preferred but not essential. The appropriate training and personal protective equipment will be supplied.
