Job summary

Coalesce Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Workshop Fitter for a depot-based role in the Birmingham area. You will be trained to inspect, repair, service and maintain moving decks on HGV vehicles, including ropes, pulleys, hydraulic rams and associated wiring tasks.

The position offers ongoing training, a supportive team, and clear progression, with hours Monday–Friday 08:00–17:00. Salary ranges £28,080–£29,120 plus benefits and pension.

Qualifications

• Semi-skilled Mechanical Engineer, Mechanic, Fitter or Maintenance Engineer ready to develop skills with full training.
• Experience with mechanical fitting or assembling mechanical equipment.
• Willing to train and progress within an engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, service and maintain moving decks on HGV vehicles.
• Change ropes, pulleys, hydraulic rams and run trunking and wiring.
• Work with experienced engineers and undergo comprehensive workshop training.

Joining their depot based in Oldbury which is their centre of excellence for moving decks you will be trained on how to inspect, repair, service and maintain moving decks on HGV vehicles which will include changing ropes, pulleys, hydraulic rams as well as running trunking and wiring.

Working hours are Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm with 1 hour lunch.
