Job summary

Red Rooster in West Bromwich is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our established workshop. You will assemble, test and repair air hoists and other lifting equipment, with experience in pneumatics or hydraulics considered advantageous.

We offer a highly competitive salary, a profit-related bonus scheme, private medical care and additional holidays for long service. Rate of pay depends upon experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in assembling, testing and repair of lifting equipment.
• Familiarity with pneumatics or hydraulics is advantageous.
• Able to work in a team and on own initiative.
• Commitment to working safely and to company procedures.

We are looking to add a skilled and reliable Mechanical Fitter to join our established team in West Bromwich.

Roles and Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for the assembling, testing, repairing of air hoists and other lifting equipment.
• Experience of working with pneumatics or hydraulics would be advantageous.
• Previous experience in repair of hoists or have sound mechanical knowledge to identify and rectify faulty or damaged equipment would be advantageous.
• Be self-motivated, work well as part of a team and work on your own initiative.
• Ensure work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures.
