NEOS Engineering Recruitment in Oxfordshire seeks a Workshop Engineer to service, maintain and repair heavy plant and construction machinery at their Oxford depot. You will perform PDIs, routine servicing and fault diagnosis to ensure equipment is safe and ready for hire.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with excavators, generators or powered access, a full UK driving licence, and a proactive approach to maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience working on Heavy Plant and Plant Machinery.
• Ability to service, repair and maintain a range of construction equipment.
• Full UK driving licence is required; relevant engineering qualifications are advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing Excavators, Dumpers, Rollers, Generators and other plant machinery.
• Carrying out PDI inspections before hire and ensuring equipment is safe and ready for customer use.
• Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults and documenting work.
• Maintaining accurate service records and working with the depot team to minimise downtime.

Workshop Engineer - Heavy Plant Machinery

Location: Oxford, Oxfordshire

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

NEOS Engineering Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Workshop Engineer to join a leading national Plant Hire company at their Oxford depot.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer with experience working on Heavy Plant, Construction Equipment, Powered Access or Generators to join a well-established business with an excellent reputation in the industry.

The Role

As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, repair and preparation of a wide range of Plant and Construction Machinery, ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards and ready for hire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspections) on machinery before hire.
• Servicing, maintaining and repairing Excavators, Dumpers, Rollers, Generators, Powered Access equipment and other Plant Machinery.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Completing routine servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Ensuring all machinery is safe, reliable and ready for customer use.
• Maintaining accurate service and repair records.
• Working closely with the depot team to minimise machinery downtime.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Plant Engineer, Heavy Plant Fitter, Plant Mechanic or similar.
• Experience working on Plant Machinery, Construction Equipment, Agricultural Machinery, Powered Access or Generators.
• Strong mechanical and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
• Ability to diagnose and repair machinery independently.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Relevant engineering qualifications are advantageous but not essential.

Engineers from Agricultural, HGV, Forklift and similar mechanical engineering backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
