HSB Technical Ltd invites applications for a Workshop Engineer to service, repair and overhaul heavy‑duty gearboxes and rotating machinery across marine, heavy plant and mining sectors. The role is mostly workshop-based in Kent with occasional UK site work (about 5%).

You should be a time‑served mechanical engineer (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent) with experience of gearboxes and diagnostics. Salary £30,000–£44,000 with generous overtime and benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Time-served mechanical engineer with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
• Experience with heavy-duty gearboxes and rotating equipment.
• Background in marine, industrial, agricultural, plant or mining machinery.

Aufgaben

• Service, maintain, repair, install, and overhaul heavy-duty gearboxes and driveline systems.
• Work on equipment across marine, heavy plant, agriculture and mining sectors.
• Perform mechanical strip-downs, diagnostics, part changes, and complete rebuilds.
• Carry out alignments, dynamic testing and inspections per OEM specs.
• Travel UK-wide for short-term field service and installation projects (~5%).
• Complete accurate reports, documentation and quality checks.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional working environment.
