Job summary

Crown Lift Trucks Ltd. in Stockport is seeking a field service technician to service and repair forklift trucks at customer sites. You will maintain paperwork, monitor van stock, and ensure safe operation of all equipment while meeting planned schedules.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, fault-finding skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. Training will be provided to expand expertise in mechanical, electrical or hydraulic areas.

Qualifications

• Must hold full UK Driving Licence.
• Proficient in fault finding and repair.
• GCSE English and Maths at grade C required.
• Experience of Health & Safety requirements in workshop environment.
• Commitment to continuing personal and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Carry out service and repairs on equipment at customer sites in a safe, professional and cost-effective manner; document all works.
• Monitor van stock and ensure sufficient parts for day-to-day maintenance of the fleet.
• Accurately complete job sheets, timesheets and purchase requisitions within required timescales.
• Take responsibility for equipment and tooling and ensure safe condition for the type of work.
• Work to strict planned schedules and deadlines.
