Platinum Recruitment Consultancy in Leeds is seeking a Workshop Forklift Engineer to service, repair, and maintain forklift trucks in a busy Ranging from diesel to electric in a fully equipped workshop. The role offers stability, training, and strong earning potential with overtime.

The position involves diagnosing faults, carrying out planned maintenance, and ensuring high safety standards, with no customer-site travel.

Competenze

• Experience servicing diesel, gas and electric forklift trucks.
• NVQ or City & Guilds qualification preferred but not essential.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Proactive and reliable workshop approach.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Servicing, repairing and maintaining diesel, gas and electric forklift trucks
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults
• Carrying out planned maintenance and routine inspections
• Ensuring all repairs are completed to a high standard and in line with safety requirements
• Preparing equipment for hire or customer delivery
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working on forklifts or similar mechanical equipment
• An engineering qualification such as NVQ or City & Guilds (preferred but not essential)
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• A proactive and reliable approach to workshop operations
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Other industries considered: Plant / Agriculture / Powered Access / Vehicle / HGV / Generator / Crane / Forklift
